Derby Rules & Regulations

Is there a place we can park trucks&trailers to access the ice?  Being out of town makes it hard for easy access.  Got the sled all ready to go, just need ICE!   When I was up there earlier this week it was wide open water.

I believe the Long Lake Sporting Club may let you park there for a small fee. Don't quote me on that. Lakeview may let you park there as well. Just call and ask. Snowmobile trails all over the place that lead to the lake. Long should freeze over tonight, it was over 50% locked up yesterday and suppose to be cold and calm tonight. Square has been frozen for over a week now and it is a bigger lake than Long. By the time the derby arrives, it will probably be safe to drive on Long with a vehicle.

There are several access points around the lake - kinda depends on what you want to fish for and what town you are in

I am at base camp - Long Lake Sporting Club - they do let people park there - not really sure if there is a fee - but Ken the owner will tell you where to park so he can get in as many as he can without blocking the parking lot

But come in and talk to Paul or Chris - they will give you directions and point you in the right direction

Derby Update - We will have Opening Ceremonies Friday January 25 at the Lakeview Restaraunt. Jen & Jason are giving us the big room and they have reserved the "Jerry T Band" for live music. THANKS JEN & JASON!!!!!
 The derby will be there with clothing , registrations and we will be giving out $1500-$2000 in prizes during drawings that night - all registered anglers are eligible for the drawings - just show your Long Lake Ice Fishing Derby Registration to enter.
