its very tempting for me to continue this arguement (especially with kissmybass).
i missed the board by .04 and only fished for bows.
the guys that finished 1st and second followed the rules
but they also have to sleep with it every night.
i'm sure this has happened in the past and probably will again.
lets remember the real 1st place has a big tag on it.

Just my opinion on this interesting thread, I think a derby should be held at one or two specific lakes only, with officials on hand to stop this obvious mis behavior, this would also help with the needless killing of an over abundance of fish, just my 2cents.

they did not follow the rules if they fished them out of a private pond.....simple
i had a great weekend anyway fishing for junk fish..i just feel bad for the real fishermen out there who fished legit bows...especially the 2 dudes who got bumped and the guy who took 3rd in that catagory..

Sounds like a contest we have around here. A couple of brothers came over from WI and won. They were told they would have to take a lie detector. They beat feet across the border. Turned out they had "won" a few ice angling contests.

That derby you guys have sounds like a great time. I am tempted to make a vacation out of it one of these years.

im  pretty sure that the rotary people knew where they came from. I heard them say at the board that they had to accept the fish.  my buddy was aslo bumped off the board too.  but like stated they didnt break any rules by fishing in a private pond if that is what happened.  its just very unethical and a greedy way to make some money.  and they know it.  im sure if this is what people think it is you will see some rule changes next year.  its to bad this  happened.  it put  all of us in a bad possision.   it will be interesting to see what unfolds in the next few weeks.

Just learned how to post a picture... this is the 3 rainbows from Winnie on Sunday.  Biggest one finished 4th and the other 2 narrowly missed the board....

I have been following this post and decided to through in my thoughts, Its inevitable when there is money involved some people will cheat. It's a shame but that's the bottom line. ethics don't matter to some, all they see are dollar signs. I think a rule change to all public body's of water in N.H. is a good idea, but how do you enforce it? Derby's like this are  on  the honor system, and some people have no honor....Bob..
