Walleye on inland lakes

I plan on targeting walleye this year. The lake i fish is inland with no rivers or streams. The DNR plants walleye but everyone says they wont bite or good luck finding them. Ive heard of people catching them so i know they are in there and catchable. what are some areas and depth ranges i should target? also lures i should use? thanks

Fish weed lines early ice and the deeper water breaks later. Put at least one tip-up out and jig your other line, jigging raps, shiver minnows, flash lures like Swedish pimples tipped with a minnow head. If you have a graph even better, move, move, move till you find them. Good luck eh

Here in New england, we get set up a few hrs. before dark in 12 ft of water down to two feet,near a shore area.set tip ups with 3 1/2 to 4 " live bait one foot from the bottom.Close to some type of structure
