I haven't been on the water for a while now... Anyone know what some of the current water temps are?  I may try and get the boat out one last time Wednesday night since were between deer seasons at the moment..... Just have to see once what happens.

Sure looks like its going to happen in the next couple of weeks. Deer hunting is over for me and with a couple weeks to get the honey do list cut down alittle i'll be ready to hit the ice. Where to go first is the question. Sally and Missinnawa should be in good shape by freeze up and they are the first to freeze.

Looking at this mornings forecast the real ice making weather moves in early next week. I'll bet there will be people on the ice by the 15 on channels. If the wind dies down we'll start seeing ice any time.

Looking at the seven out to the 30 day forecast it shows low temps that will make ice. Plenty if conditions are right, slow if snow/wind is present. What I like about the high temps they look good for fishing in. Mid 30's to upper 20's mostly. Lets hope the heavy snow stays awhile and wind lays. The small amount of snow forecasted for tomorrow morning won't hurt a thing on the ice that has started. Likely will melt in or blow off and the snow will help get the surface temps of the bigger body of waters down quickly.

Yes we did, amazing fishery. I kept wanting to jig a blade bait but I couldn't get the captain to sit still long enough. Them walleye guys are weird, all they want to do is pull boards ;D

Gravel Pits have a built in chill system.  15" gills and all the safe ice you will ever need.  They give Yeti coolers away as you walk in to fill up with fish.
