Ice Fishing This Weekend

Did some looking on the way up to firekeepers casino most if not all lakes wide open if there's no safe ice by mid February my gear is being put ip

Temps this week make it look promising and even colder next week!  Northern Indiana should get one more chance for ice fishing, but not sure about the lakes in central and southern parts of the state.

There is a place I could fish today but I'm waiting until Saturday. If you take the time to look you can be successful.

Ok then where is this spot? Lol Good luck and be safe. Couple inches of ice for some penny or craps I'll just wait thanks anyways. 98percent of rest of state will NOT be safe or fishable by next week. Next Tuesday calling for 60. But u seen as u really need some ice so go get on it. Good luck

most of the reason some lakes and whatnot are not fishable due to store ice missing. That's when you kayak up onto the thicker ice and get out drill and fish. More than one way to skin a cat. I don't see 60 anywhere in my forecast anyway. You southern boys wont see ice anymore I agree with that. 38 degrees for a high Tuesday here.

Below freezing where I was today and between the wind and the sun the skim that was on is almost all gone.  Someone may get on again but I don't think it will be me.

Mid-West Open Tournament was cancelled. That is held at Devils lake in Irish Hills Michigan. I feel most ice below there will be very questionable at best. Why not just come further north for the weekend if you are itching that bad? Have a fun getaway, catch some fish on the ice, not go swimming, and return home safe!

did the same thing last year in same spot. No ice anywhere else around....but 7 inches of clear in this area

I went out tonight on a channel. Got a limit crappie and a dozen gills in 2 hours. Channel had 2" ice. The main lake was frozen but only had about 1/4-1/2" ice. Good to be out again!
