lake x
« on: Jan 07, 2013, 08:04 AM »
Made it out Friday evening and all day Saturday to a public lake.  Ice varied from scary to 4.5".  Had to spud my way around.  The gill bite was on fire!!!!  Took home 40 on Friday and 65 on Saturday of decent keepers.  Threw many more back.  I doubt the ice will make it through this next warm up >:(, oh well.  It was fun while it was here.
Fridays catch:

Saturdays catch:

nope, had planned to.  got called in to work yesterday.  working a double today.   i am going to put the flatbottom out on the ice tomorrow.  i'm sure i will look stupid...and probably feel like it too but we have to do what we can while we can do it.  i'm hoping the fish won't know the difference between 1.5" or 4" of ice  ;D
