Black hills ice?

Guys seeing much?  Some small ponds are froze and the inlet to Sheridan was capped.   I'm curious about dalton, anyone been there?

I was on Stockade today with about 4" of good ice.  All the lakes in the state park should be good to go as well.

I look forward to getting to know that lake. We are moving west of Hermosa so it won’t be far from me. Hope to check it out next weekend. I would guess more perch than anything else?

Yep, mainly perch but also great bluegills, and when you can find them crappie.  Decent pike and they put walleye in the lake last year so we will see how they do...

I’m a newbie to ice fishing and was wondering what aces to most of the lakes in the hills is like.  Are the roads maintained so a guy could get close with a four wheel drive?

Yeah you'll be able to drive right up to the lake 99% of the time unless there is a big storm. Roads in the hills are generally well maintained.
