thin wire hooks
« on: Dec 28, 2007, 05:59 PM »
Searched the archives and came up empty. I used to have a very thin fine wire hook that worked well when using maggots or waxies. Didn't mush then at all and were good for hooking crappies and perch. I can't find them anywhere. Any suggestions for an ultra-fine wire hook?  Thanks in advance.   Lou

not too sure what your looking for as far as size goes but check out Fly hooks used for tying Diiachi makes a super sharp fly hook. Check out fly shops or take a shot at Gander Mt they have a fly tying area or cabelas.

Those hooks are good.
Another hook that I use is the Eagle Claw Aberdeen J hooks. Really thin shanks but work great. They come in all sizes. Just Google "Eagle Claw Aberdeen hooks" and you should find lots of places to buy them. I think Aberdeen is the name of the town in Virgina where Eagle Claw makes those hooks.  I'm pretty sure Bass Pro Shops carry them. Hope this helps.
