Wow...what could be more boring than staring at a hole in the ice?

Oh wait, I've got it, staring at a TV screen showing someone staring at a hole in the ice.  I think you'd find such a game would have a very limited market.  I may be the first one to crap on the parade, but I present some good reasons.

A)  I don't play much for video games anymore.  Did too much of that as a kid.
B)  The ones I do play on rare occasions are usually things I can't do in real life - Shoot em ups, war strategy, adventure or simulators.
C)  I would rather be actually fishing (or ice fishing, or hunting, or tying flies or building lures or training my dog) than playing a video game. (TB4 got about 4 hours of use from me, mostly as a passenger on road trips).

You did have me going with the whole "sponsorship by Clam" and "sent to Sony" post though, that was LOL funny.  Good luck with your project.

your line could break, different types of fishing - pike - gills.  More fish you catch - the better stuff you can buy, like a bigger shanty.  I think it would be do-able.  Plus people in warm states might want it because they can't ice fish.  There are alot of fishing games that are pretty good. I have the Rapala fishing game and it is fun.

I would buy it in a heart beat.  as for njsimonson's comments I see where you are coming from but if you think about    what could be more boring than sitting in a stand for hours on end without seeing a single deer maybe looking at a tv character sitting in a stand for hours without seeing a single deer but yet cabela's seems to keep making new hunting video games year after year with good turnout.  I am not trying to criticize your comments. But if you think about it if a hunting game can make it i think an icefishing game could too.  What about those kids who love fishing but there dad buys them an xbox instead of taking them out fishing.  The biggest video game market is the under 16 age bracket.  What better way to introduce them to fishing?  Yeah i know you will come back and say take them fishing.  But you must remember the majority of serious videogamers dont leave the tv for more than 2 minutes.  then maybe when they can drive themselves around they might get the itch to fish.  anyways I think it is a great idea.  So has there been any progress or serious effort in this idea?  dont forget the birds setting off your traps.  ohhhh and the nagging wife!  cant forget that!LOL

I'd try not to buy it at first, then I'd eventually breakdown and get addicted.

Maybe if  you had a list of folks who promise to buy (perhaps give them a price break for signing up?) You could deff convince your company- graphics and what not dont have to be perfect- my little bro has the rapala fishing  game for xbox- The graphics are crap and the game fibs on the wieghts to lengths but I find myself and so does he- "fishing" all the time
