not very experienced here but caught about 50 last year (a lot undersized) probably about 85% came on a Black/Gold Rapala size 7.  Swedish Pimple in green was the other lure used.  Minnow head not full minnow most of the time.

Just going to generalize here and say a spoon.  Swim jigs are awesome, but the fish have to seem really interested in it to take a bite.  Spoons can be used for agressive, neutral and the tight bite.  My fav spoons are Northland Buck-Shot, Forage Minnow, Pimples, Cleo's, Do-Jiggers and Slender Spoons.

Jig-n-Rap yellow back, white belly, with a little red at the nose, tipped with a minnow head or either a perch or walleye eye.

Glow jig and a minnow works great for my area. Bounce them on the bottom to raise a silt cloud then pull it up just above the cloud. Looks like feeding baitfish I guess. Diagnosed this type of bite with the Aqua View one day.

Gold Cast Master with a small minnow, or a Half a minnow, depending on the size works great for me.
Be safe out there, and set the iron.

While jigging I've had success with the Hali spoon as well as the buckshot. Just a minnow head seems to be the ticket with this set up. I mostly use tip ups - a jig and minnow work well, but a glow treble or red treble with a small shiner would be my choice if I had to choose only one.

Cleos, buckshots, cicadas, and fireball jigs w minnows or eyes.  I have yet to catch on a jig n' rap, and I catch alot of walleye. I sometimes switch to one for a challenge when they're really hitting just to see if I can catch fish on one. I usually give up when I get tired of watching fish on the flasher just stare at them.  So I switch back to something else and continue catching, LOL. Its very strange, when others seem to do well with them, I however am cursed with them.  I am about to give all mine away if I don't catch anything with them this winter.

If you are done with them let me know, I have been successfull in the past with them.  Are you tipping them with any bait?  Also, I have used them in the past to bring fish in, otherwise not there, and used a different lure to grab.

Yeah I've tried tipping them with minnow heads and tails and also plain without bait.  Maybe I just haven't found the right color or technique, although I've watched how the fish react to the different presentations I try on the flasher so I don't think its that.  And you are right, I have been able to bring fish in with them, so maybe they are useful, just not to catch them, for me anyways.

Remember me when u decide to give em away!
They are great when fish are active, but they rearly call fish in.
For that I use a whistler jig, works everytime. Before sunup
and at dusk, pimple, jigging spoons, jigs all in glow
tipped with a minnow or eyeballs.
Have been having great success with a jig and the flasher.

I use whistler jigs too, forgot to throw them it there.  Thats the first I have seen that type of jig/flasher setup.  They look deadly TJG, just by looking at them I know they will work good for walleye, thanks for sharing, I will have to purchase some soon.

Wow kinda 101 but I 'll throw it at ya.
Yes you can plunk done and just jig a minnow on what ever and get hits.
I find that there is more to it.
A jigging rod and a dead stick.
2 holes one guy or 3 holes 2 guys.
#1First the dead stick hole gets a minnow, alive or clipped. I sits near the bootom with in a foor or high depending on the loaction of the fish. Its usually a jig or hook and weight. It gets moved sparringly, hench DEAD STICK.
#2 is the attractor it is always moving with the occasional stopping for hits. The should create the flash. I like blade baits, rattles or real flashy lures. This draws the fish in.
One draws em in the other triggers em.

On the two system the jigging rod is in the middle. If you watch the vex after jigging you have noticed fish comming to the action. If they don't want the primary the secondary option is readily available.
