Probably more expensive than your F-150 too!

About the price of a mid level F-150.  ;)

Tell me more about these base side-by-side for $10k to $11l.  I thought they were going to be nearly double that.

shop around - close out 2021's are 10k for polaris, can am, tracker, etc. 2022 base defender is 11,200. Pioneer 500 base is 8500 and a 700 is 11k

Looked at side by sides///$20k to get remotely what I want....more like $25k.  Not happening for this cat.

I'm in the final processes of closing the deal on a new 2022 570 Sportsman Premium ATV.  Adding a winch, blade, windshield, and handwarmers.  Out the door under $11k.

My plans are to use the unit for ice fishing 6-10 trips a year (total of about 10 days or 20 hours) and moving snow in the driveway 6-10 times a year (total of about 5-10 hours).  From a cost effective standpoint I think this is hard to beat.  Like anything else, if the unit holds up it will be great.  If not, well, that's the risk we run with a lot of things.

I'm sure the 570 will be good enough for you. I am planning on getting a new Atv and am thinking the Polaris 570 RZR or the Honda 520 Pioneer. Both are the 50" wide models. I have a lot of 50" Trails out here I like to travel.

If you are planning to spend over 10k go with a side x side. My 03 Honda foreman is great but it is pretTy miserable to ride when it is really cold!

For what it's worth my 2013 Sportsman 550 (bought new in 2013) Remains chained up all winter (front) ice fishing here in Wyo. Has never failed to start (still has original battery) and runs great. I feel the independent suspension vs axle (as in many we looked at when buying) has helped me a lot in deep snow an overflow conditions. It's also used all summer for my 15 gallon sprayer on my 6 acre place and in fall for hunting. Folks talk about the reliability of their Hondas (and I believe them. They make great motors) but I have gotten great service from my machine. ;D
