Ion ice auger battery
« on: Mar 14, 2021, 10:35 AM »
So I was out ice fishing in +8 C weather with my ion and was "trolling for lakers" I got down to one light remaining on my 3ah ion battery and once that happened I was only able to drill one more hole very very slowly. The auger would turn on and spin but once it touched ice it would stall out. This is the original ion that I purchased two months ago. Just wondering if it is typical at 1 remaining battery bar/light for the auger to be unable to drill.

Thanks for your help
Nicholas

Yes.  Don't have an Ion but everything you've described is exactly as my drill works when the battery is dead.  That one bar of light on the battery will still light until it's so dead the BMS kicks in I would imagine.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.
