Two of the best explanations I’ve heard so far...

1 - Buying things in quantity is a way to psychologically control a situation you can’t control.

2 - Toilet paper is made in China, so shortages are eminent due to the travel ban.

Brought my wife to the hospital and people actually stole toilet paper out of the restrooms. I don’t get it why everyone wants toilet paper.

Only reason I can think of is if your quarantined for 14 days and cant leave the house then TP is a hot commodity! I still agree its crazy!!! We needed TP badly, only place I could find it was the hardware store of all places! They cant keep it on the shelves! I could see the point if its explosive diarrhea, but man its gotten out of hand!!

My wife was in the checkout line behind some woman that had her cart loaded with toilet paper. She asked her why she was buying so much. The lady replied "because its made in China and we won't be able to get anymore" And these people vote?

Whatever. I’ve got lots of old T-shirt’s and I have a shower too! My wife said (she didn’t witness this) that at my local Meijers an elderly lady had a case of toilet paper and some miscreant took it right out of her cart and ran off. The bs thing is no one did anything to help stop this from happening. She told me this and I looked up at the picture of Jesus and Mary I have in my living room and said WHY? why would You deny me being there for that so I could clothesline that punk! Render some justice!! Nothing ever happens like that when I’m around. I feel cheated!
