Yes, I saw them in Walmart and compared to my Jon-E appear to be cheaply made. Funny thing is that I couldn't find any fluid for it. Which is why I went there in the first place.

I dug my Jon -E outta my old hunting gear(hadn't used it for decades), took it on the ice, was working awesome, then it dove to the bottom of the lake for safe keeping.......the end!...

You just put lighter fluid in the zippo ha warmers just like you use in the zippos

They didn't have any Zippo lighter fluid either. Which is what I was looking for. Haven't seen Jon-e fluid in years. And I still have my old zippo lighter.

Get some VM&P Naphtha from the hardware store for those hand warmers or Zippo lighters.

Hey Doc...think premium unleaded gas would work too? I remember using it in my old Coleman lanterns for years.

hmm could try.i know coleman white gas burns cleaner because when i run gasoline in my dual fuel coleman lanterns it clogs the generators in a few years of use.my reg colemans using camp fuel go 20 years or more before needing new generators.i saw a comment about using naptha that’s basically what coleman white gas is.

The lighter fluid is at the front counter with the cigarettes .... I had trouble finding it to ....

I had some down on my work bench. Filled my old Zippo lighter and worked like a charm.

I wish Woolrich would make the insulated red and black plaid hunting clothes again (the model 523 coat, 1964, pants), and the heavy woolen shirt (model 53) again. That stuff was super warm. I was on their website the other day looking at their woolen shirts and damn near fell out of the chair, they want $455 for their Alaskan woolen shirt in green or blue and $370 for their red and black plaid which happens to be on sale for $259. I couldn't believe the prices so I called to ask if there was a screw up on the website with the prices and the lady told me, "we were bought out by a European company and they priced everything to be in line with their European prices". Needless to say with prices like that they'll be out of business in no time. It's sad to see a company that was an American icon be bought out by a foreign company but to see them run it into bankruptcy court is a new level of sadness.

Rosengol or a name something like that makes lighter fluid that's the same as the Zippo lighter fluid. It comes in a blue and yellow plastic container. Another thing I wish they still made is the Eskimo Turbo-Cut auger heads and blades. Other than that there's a bunch of guns I wish they still made.
