Of course it is bragging!  And that is why people post the pictures!  it is only natural for people to want to share their accomplishments and I love looking at the pix of the trophies people land that use this site. ;D

Not bragging at all.  Now, if I were to post pictures on a site dedicated to something other than fishing then maybe.  As soon as i figure out how to work this computer stuff, I'll be posting some myself.  As you can see, I cant even get my own avatar up.  Work in progress :o)

How could you find fish pictures offensive when they're on a forum dedicated to fishing?

I love looking at people's ice fishing pictures.

Is showing a picture bragging?  What's the difference between writing about the 40" pike you caught and showing a picture of the 40" inch pike you caught?  They're both telling people about your accomlishments (i.e. "bragging").  Of course, words may or may not be true, but the pictures don't lie.

I'd much rather see the pic.

Without pictures it's just another fish story (lie). Reports without pics are generally ignored because we all know how much fishermen like to lie.

... and as stated above, everybody loves the fish porn!

Heck yea. It's bragging rights being exercised.
Would you subscribe to a fishing magazine without pictures?
This site on top of great pics has great articles.

Good question.  I patrol around alot on quite a few fishing sites.  A lot of guys brag without posting pics.  "I was on lake so and so and me and a buddy limited out on eyes".  To me, posting your catch, justifies your report.  I dont know each and everyone of you personally, so why would I take everyones word?  Posting a pic validates everything as far as the success goes.  Just my .02 cents!

I don't consider it bragging. I look at it more like sharing in the experience. Keep the pics coming.

I like seeing pictures of the fish but when someone puts one of those humans in the photo with the fish it totally ruins it. Yea it's bragging and if I get a 10lb salmon this season I'll post some pics... of the fish.

I enjoy the pics but sometimes guys post pics of masacre and they seem to think that the more fish they kill/take, the better fisher man they are. Maybe it rubs me the wrong way cause I a catch & release 95% of the fish I catch.
We are where we are, cause that's where we choose to be.
