IT'S COLDER THEN A WELL DRILLERS......, Well not yet anyway. I'm in N.E. Wisco. not to far south from the U.P, border. We had slight snow flurries the last two nights, and we have had lows in the upper 20's a couple of nights.Cold enough to start checking out the equipment. First I have to get the venison for the chili, stew, and salami. I mean how do you go ice fishing without that stuff.
I hear you there, I'm just about into full deer hunting mode now. After the deer are hung and cut up and into the freezer it should be just about first ice.
Who cares how cold it is. The boys up around Fairbanks have been on the hardwater for two weeks now. There's some hardwater about three hours north of here and have been seriously contemplating a trip, but I might just wait another 2 weeks for the big lake to freeze. God I love Alaska.
That would be awfully tempting. I've been trying to talk the old lady into moving up that way but I doubt thats gonna ever work out. Nice to think about though. Here in Iowa it was 73 today real nice day but not helping the cause. Looking at the 10 day I see the lows are getting near the freezing mark and highs in the 50's so thats a step in the right direction.
it was 70 yesterday in nw illinois. water temps in teh miss are 56. meh.
bout the same here in south central wisconsin.
Hell of a difference between your Wisconsin and mine. High today in the 40's low around freezing, possible snow. Tomorrows high, low 40's, low upper 20's. I'm south of Iron Mountain about 45 miles (that ain't that far around here).
