It is Winter here! Snow, below zero yesterday, everything is iced up and has been for about three weeks now. North Slope Ak. Good news is it will be heading south soon and so will I!

Seen high to mid 20's at night last week or so here in N.W. Montana...
But warms up into the 50's during the day.
We are not going to get any ice that way

not cold enough for ice... upper 30's at night, 50-60 during the day.... we won't have fishable ice until december

40's during the day and mid to upper 20's during the night in northern Mn. I give it about another month or so til the daredevils are walking out on ice here. Hopefully temps and thethe weather (NO SNOW

)will cooperate and we'll get some good ice early.

how cold is it WHERE I live?

Well, despite being a resident of the GWN ( Great White North ), specifically western Quebec, we had our third frosty night last night, with temperatures hovering around our zero mark ( 0 C ). Temperatures have been abnormally warm here this fall.

It's supposed to cool off quite a bit later on during the week, with daily forecasted highs in the 5-7 degree celsius range, and nights at or slightly below freezing.

If this current trend keeps up, I won't see ice until Christmas!

Yup, I do like to milk it (bow hunting) out through the late season. Something about hunting in below zero weather tickles the heck out of me. If I sound tough, I'm not, I got a pop up blind and a heater. I have absolutely no competition at that time of year. I wear braces on both legs so I don't get out on the ice until I have 8 or more inches and feel safe to go with the ATV.

Upstate New York (foothills of the Adirondack's) having a heat wave currently but this weekend has snow in it's forecast. It will be a heart crusher when it snows then melts.

Been raining all day here but the West Elks and Grand Mesa both got snow I can see from my house. Colorado.

Gunnison where I do a lot of ice fishing has a high of 18 overnight lows with 46-50 during the days .

Who cares how cold it is. The boys up around Fairbanks have been on the hardwater for two weeks now. There's some hardwater about three hours north of here and have been seriously contemplating a trip, but I might just wait another 2 weeks for the big lake to freeze. God I love Alaska.

That would be awfully tempting. I've been trying to talk the old lady into moving up that way but I doubt thats gonna ever work out. Nice to think about though.

Here in Iowa it was 73 today real nice day but not helping the cause. Looking at the 10 day I see the lows are getting near the freezing mark and highs in the 50's so thats a step in the right direction.
