Since we have a thread talking about what everyone plans to buy for the upcoming ice season I figured actions speak louder than words.  What have you diehards already bought for the upcoming ice season?  I personally have bought a new vex-18.  Pics are encouraged for those who are able!

New jet sled. wore the old one out. Some new jigs, and fresh line.

A portable ice hut. 5x5x6 i think. Painted my sled flat black with glossy white stenciling. A few new spoons and jigs. A nice Jig Rod and reel. Tons of new hooks. Ummm... ya pretty much it so far.

Parts to make our own tip-ups, ski's to make a sled for the Clam, new cleats for the boots, some jigging lures, gloves.  Oh yea and an Ice Shanty bumber sticker!  Think that covers it, for now at least, still a few months to go.

i just got a headlamp so i can tie jigs on in the shanty and check tip ups at night and the strike sensor pager for my tip ups.waiting for the frabill commando to show up in stores around here now.

Soft carry case for my H-bird 45.  Ready Rig back pack for my gear.  I modified the pack a bit by adding 3 pieces (25" each) of 3" PVC for rigidity as I will be storing my rods in there.

Arctic Armor suit, 3 TB Rods (perch sweetheart, walleye sweetheart, quiverstick) Shimano reels on them. Ice Armor mittens, bunch of jigs, jigging shad raps, spoons, etc. Flasher on Monday, and then i should be done.

Garmin eTrex Venture HC so far. Took it into the mountains over Labor Day weekend with my bro-in-law. Had a GREAT time too! 

Getting ready to order up some more tackle tonight... have an auger and flip as soon as they hit the stores.

The flea market has a lot of propane heaters that I have been picking up. I bought a Mr. Heater JR. for 10.00, 2 new small Paulin 2200-5000 BTU heaters for 5.00 a piece. I buy a lot of "hard to find" heaters because they work so well.


I have some TREX composite decking that I got for free to make some platforms to put on my ski/sleds to put my equipment on.

I sit and look at my equipment and pray for cold weather!

So far not much. I did get a new cast iron dutch oven and another Coleman 2 burner. I am in the process of going through my jig boxes to see what I need to replenish. Hoping for SANTA to bring me a new flasher... Honey I hope you read this!!!

A new ATV!  Getting it outfitted for hunting now, but will get it able to tow my Guide shanty and haul my auger by ice up!

This should open up new horizons in my icefishing world.  Looking forward to this season!
