I recently tried the ultralight Rapala titanium spring bobbers. Even with the smallest jigs make them point straight down. I think they are way too light and noticed they make a medium light. Has anyone tried both? I’ve tried other brands and found most to be way too stiff, so I don’t wanna blow another 10 bucks on another bobber that might not work. I tried to search on this but all the spring bobber posts are old old old. I use a lot of 3 mm and 1/64 jigs and even those were too light for the ultralight by Rapala. I tried moving them in, shortening them up, and these things are still way too light.

I use the.... Clam nitinol? (does that sound right?) spring bobber, and you can adjust the lenght to change the sensitivity. I love them, but there might be options out there to fit someone's preferences better

The rapala and clam wires are both junk and fold over.get the frabill titanium.good for all kinds of jig weights.

I use Ice Strong titaniums. And they come in several "strenghts" depending on jig size being used.

Ice Strong, they're great

I agree, and have several of the Frabill on rods that have lasted many years. Last year I bought 2 more and both were much weaker than before, bending them straight down on a 4mm tungsten. I hope I just got a bad batch but you may want to start with one first. I tried their customer service but that was worthless. I just bought an Ice Strong but haven’t tied it on my rod yet. I don’t like they are not adjustable, anyone have any mods to let you slide them in and out?

Frabill has no customer service, and their products have gone to hell.
