With this ridiculous weather we'll be drilling holes on the opener in May. I have a cabin up north of Candle Lake and there's still tons of snow with more in the forecast. I have a feeling there going to be crazy amounts of slush and water to the point a guy won't even be able to get out. If I get a chance on days off I'm gonna hit the Narrow Hills and try to pull a football sized brookie out of somewhere
well if you were me then i'd be you and i really wouldn't know what the hell I was talking about...

I’d love to get out for some April Trout. It’d be a first.
Get outside.  It does a body and mind good!

Any lake listed as as a stocked trout lake is open all year. Except Constance. Read the fishing guide. The guide should Always be checked before fishing new lakes.

Trout had been open for a few years now. Every angler should be checking new regulations every year. Ignorance is no excuse.

You might want to pick up a book on regulations, or read on-line.  Are you aware there's no such thing as a 2 day possession limit?

Been out 3 time since regular season closed. First time got several tigers and splake including a 3lb male and ~2lb female tiger. The rest were all quite small. Second time we got skunked on Shannon. Third time wè also go skunked on Piprell but we atleast seeing plenty of fish taking interest in our hooks. Just couldnt get them to bite.

Going to go out this weekend again to Piprell and see if I cant convince one of them.

Mostly splake you were seeing on Piprell I'm guessing?

Chances are mostly suckers you are seeing at pip.  They rocket right up like a trout and fight just as good but sure disappoint after the 6th one in a row.  I'd say splake are the next most likely culprit.

Thanks buddy. One of my favorite fishing pictures. Put in a lot of work to earn that Tiger.

tried ranger- it was slow  some of us had some luck some did not
slush was starting to add up as the day went on  with the double digits ahead the time is definitely ticking now

time to bear hunt!!!
