Hummingbird ice 55
« on: Jan 16, 2022, 10:17 PM »
Today I finally made the first trip of the year,  when I went to turn on my ice 55 it didn’t turn on.  I unplugged the battery and plugged back in and it turned on.  After awhile it starting flashing voltage on the screen but wasn’t acting any different and worked great all day.  Does anyone know what the voltage means? I was thinking of trying a new battery as it is about 5 years old.

Thanks

My 55 has been doing this for a couple years now. I think it’s a bad connection. When I turn on the power, if it doesn’t come on I fiddle with the plug/wire and it comes on. The voltage indicator comes on frequently, I am under the impression that is due to the bad connection also. I’ve had the same battery for 10 years and another just like it for open water for 15.
It must be something in the water.
