Strikemaster fixing issue with some blades

That’s nice of them. Would of been nice if they sent out new blades to the folks who got the 24v last season. There were many people with drilling issues right out of the box, and SM was telling them that the blades must be bad. The fix was to replace the blades, at our expense.

First I heard about a blade issues from SM last year, know a fair amount of folks that bought a Lite-Flite too. I bought a 6" amd had no issue.

My wife has an 8" 24v wrapped up for me under the tree, I'll have to check for a numbers after Xmas.

I do know a bunch that had issue with the  adapter when they first came out with the Lite-Flight and SM was quick to ship replacements at their cost.

my 8" lite fite was purchased before the affected date, not sure what the issue is but my blades rip through ice.

I tried calling,  crickets. I sucked it up and filled out the online registration. Received a message that my augur does not have defective blades. I'll be the judge of that, after I try it out.

My new 24v 8" had the batch sticker but filled out the form and mine was not part of the bad batch apparently.

Strikemaster support is normally pretty good for me.  I bought a hand auger a couple of years ago that had been painted, then hung upside down until it had a heavy paint coating on the end, and would not insert into the crank handle.  I sent them a pic of it. They wanted to send me a new auger, but I just ground the extra paint off myself.  They surprise sent me a really nice Strikemaster heavy weight full zip hoodie for my trouble.

Sorry, just saw your question. No, I got the regular lazer that comes on the 40V head.

I purchased mine last year. I did have a little run out So they sent me a new adapter and run out stopped. The blades cut great from day one but ill be checking for the numbers tomorrow.
