Your down to your last minnow, WHAT DO YOU DO?

Thought about this today wile out on the ice,

what would you do if you only had 1 minnow? would you use the head on a spoon, tail on a spoon/jig, or use the live minnow on a dead stick (or something else)?

I would use the head for a spoon or swedish pimp....I would put the tail on the back of a jigging rapala and the mid section would be used as a last resort on what ever bait I caught fish on.........or I would eat it since I never catch fish

in my opinion,if you run out you either didn't prepare well or you should allready have caught enough fish to limit out.at the very least a minnow PERCHase should leave you enough for a good day on the water(ice or waves)but if you do run out and didn't get enough fish(you suck)LOL ,no really,try cuttin up whats left and jiggin with it. good luck!

if you run out of minnows look up and say a thanks to the fishing gods that they allowed you to get down to actually fishing..........just a joke sometimes I use minnows when I don't want to clean fish HAHA (again thats a joke)

I would have to say use it live.  

See if you can get your dumb drunk friend to reproduce with it..I think your chances of getting a money making photo increase significantly... For example, blackmail/extortion,,,,, weird fetish sites...ect.ect.ect.

 My thoughts exactly, if I ran out of bait, it would have to be a big day, always have 5 doz minimum.  If they were in that good, they would hit a bare spoon.

Happened to me and my cousin last week, we fished from 9-4 and iced 70 chain pickerel and 40 something perch, by the time we came down to the last minnow we cut it in half and split it and fished the pieces tipped on a forage minnow, got 2 more perch and a pickerel on the last one lol

Use it to catch a fish. Then,

Tie on a jig head, take your smallest fish on the ice, or the one you just caught on your last minnow, scale it, then fillet it leaving the skin on. Make appropriately sized and shaped cut bait and put it on your jig. Could use a dinky pickerel, perch, anything. Fish eat fish, period.
The skin helps it stay on your hook.

i would sugest you use it the same way you used the rest of your bait up to get down to 1 left , obviously what you were doing with the others was working unless you only brought 2 with you .

Saturday I bought two tins of waxies. Went out with the b-i-l and his friend. THey had a bunch of waxies left over from a previous trip.

The sunnies were jumping out of the hole and I was soon out of my stash. I grabbed some of theirs and kept going.

They wanted the waxies gobbed on. One or two wouldn't do. Up until my last I played it like they wanted and then I kept going with the mooched bait.

Pinch the head, but if its tough I will bite it off. I bite the tails off.

Put the hook through the head and pinch the tail off.

A ragged edge is better than a clean cut.

I was bringing a couple of gals fishing a while ago. I bought some cheap cigar cutters because they got squeamish when I told them about pinching the head off. The cutters got gummed up and would not work after one or two cuts. They figured it out and found out that it wasn't so bad pinching the tails off.
