LOL at 1750outfitterss, couple more years until retirement then I can take those 3 & 4 day trips also. Something to look forward to, may work for open water too. All year long sounds great!!

I feel your pain today is my first day of a 1 month layoff!

I'd feel your "pain" more if there wasn't any safe ice.

Of course, if your state has a closed season for certain fish that can ONLY be fished for during later months (April and on) and there is plenty of open water around, then I would feel a little pain.....but not too much.

Hopefully you have the time and funds to fully enjoy this mid-winter "sabbatical" and keep your options open should an opportunity come your way!

I'm retired I have seen one thing wrong with it....sorry I did not do it sooner....no Monday's  and every  day is a Friday......
