Anybody have some recent news on Summit Lake?  Looking to hit it this weekend and have not been there yet this year.

Thanks!

I heard from a local bar owner that they were catching really nice blue gills off the damn a few weeks ago.  He didn't know how far out, but I guess just look for where others are or a bunch of old holes!

That was the day that high pressure front went through, 2weeks ago got some nice gills and a couple bass. As far as fishing where the old holes are #1 there's alot of snow up there and #2 the lake is riddled with old holes, it's being fished really hard from what I can see. I only go up during the week cause I'm not a fan of fishing in  a huge crowd, I like company but not a mob ;D

I was up there last Saturday night, and there were a lot of people which I don't mind. We did ok on the gills, and it looked like everyone else did also.
If its frozen, they will come

I got up there a couple times this year in December, and knocked the snot out of huge gills.  The last couple times I went, the fish have been much more hesitant to bite.  Might have to do with the hordes of people up there wiggling their worms.

I saw picture of gigantuous gills that  came from Summit.  Lil earlier in the year.  Well kept secret I guess.  Makes me wonder why I share my success on this site.
Where's the ice
