Eskimo HC40 vs. Propane Rocket Auger..
« on: Oct 16, 2017, 08:00 PM »
Just saw a new Eskimo Propane Rocket Auger.   It looks the same except they shaved off 4 lbs somewhere.  Any other differences?

I don't think any company can really do much improvement to ice augers anymore. The last few years propane, gas, & electric units have pretty much gone through the revolutionary stages from using new technologies and materials to get where we are. With where we are today with light weight durrable augers.....what more can they do?

Unless some revolutionary material shows up to make them even more light weight and durable, I'm afraid it is going to be like the golf industry......change some small things, change the colors and charge like heck with the hope guys buy a new one even though they aren't much different.
