Ravens.......and bald eagles......enjoying pre halloween after gorging on whitetail......Grump
-
It's Alfred Hitchcocks Birds.... RUN!!!
Nice eagles.
-
thats interesting grump seen similar scenario's a couple times this fall a bunch of ravens and one or two bald eagles tearing apart a fresh roadkill whitetail. its always nice to see eagles around. good pic grump!
-
thats pretty cool grump... how is the eagle population up there by you? here where i live in NY there is alot of swamp area, and the wildlife refuge has been helping them alot to better the population!
-
its not uncommon to see them, but not usually at this time of the year....a few lake closes by but i haven't really seen too many this year....funny how the ravens and bald eagles always seem to get together for whitetail roadkill....and thats exactly what was across the road....Grump
-
have probably seen more this year than any other. seen one snag a nice sized trout when i was up north this year was probably a pound or more dive bombed from 50 feet high or so and picked it off as it skimmed the surface. one of those moments where it is just great to be alone on the water, oh yeah and the trout were hammering that day too.

Hey grump quit taking pictures of my ex inlaws will you. Geez.(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/bigwalleye/teufel1.gif)

great picture grump :o that is weird to see the ravens so calm around the eagles. but I guess in nature they are just waiting there turn when the eagle are full. lol :D
-
i have seen them feeding together, but the eagles always get preferential pick when that happens.....and they roost together digesting breakfast!!...anyone else observe this???....Grump

That is a neat photograph, especially since it was posted on October 31, the day the Eagles played the Ravens in the NFL. I bet the tv channel hosting the game would have liked to have that photo.

Rocket...its a Minolta Dimage Z1....4x digital and 10x optical zoom...suprisingly, i used full zoom and managed (i still dont know how) to keep it steady enough without the tripod to stop camera shake....could have used that to obtain higher quality....thanks...Gr ump
