Can't really find much info on this lake.  Is it mainly just stocker rainbows in there?

I have always wanted to hit it during ice season--- but the thought of wind changes my mind... seems like its always windy up there... is that the case or am I over reacting? I just dont enjoy myself when its howling on the ice.

Actually Ackley has some browns also. and I have heard it has some cutts but have not caught one yet. Catch about one brown for every 10 or 12 bows. Have not caught a   brown over 12 to  14 inches though. The locals tell me this lake has a few holdovers caught there each year up to 5 lbs. I will definitely post if I see anything close to that. We really like the lake. Good facilities. and beautiful clean water. the bows we catch there are in great condition and we kept one this winter and it was great tasting. I flyfish it out of a tube in summer........... fun stuff
