another season on the ice starts

headed up the hill this am, filtered sun about 14 degrees with no wind. 6" of black ice, doubled since sunday. pretty much a tune up outing to get the line feel going. managed to catch 7 bass, all around 1.8 lb and a couple of 14 oz perch om small shiners with 4lb test.  bait getting expensive, 6.50 for small, 9.00 for heavy.
