Debating on trying to get my daughter up there this year. She has never caught a panfish. Would it be in poor taste to pack light only bringing appropriate clothes and a few essentials such as rods and a fishfinder but leaving the auger at home? Where are places to stay around there? Would like to bring the wife's jeep to save on gas, but these new cherokees don't have much room lol.

I think that you would be ok showing up with no auger. There will be a lot of people showing others how to catch fish. I will be out of town that weekend otherwise I would offer my help. As the day gets closer I'm sure this page will light up a bit more. If the weather is questionable just remember its a long drive in the snow!

Has the fishing @ Keyhole picked up any? Cant make the event but planning on heading solo this sunday for the day to see if i cant find a pike or two.

Everyone I talk to says it's hit or miss. You can't catch any watching TV. I haven't targeted northerns since first ice but G&F stocked a bunch so there around all the food.

i dont mind not catching anything, i always enjoy myself. just looking for new experiences and a good time. Never been to keyhole so planning on still having a blast.

Hey guys I’m going to need some help. I plan on holding a crappie seminar again this year. I been out couple times and for the life of me I am having issues finding crappie. Good enough for kids. If anyone finds any good schools around bear claw please let me know by pm. I swear I’ve drilled out the pine haven boat ramp bay and I can’t find and schools worth fishing. I really don’t want to have to hall kids across the lake to find crappie. Might just have to. So if your out hitting the lake and don’t mind giving a hand I really appreciate it. Also if anyone would like to help out Saturday please let me know as well. Last time we had roughly 10 kids. And if it cold as last year we will need a few houses we could stick them in. Thanks.
