First off the almost verticle climb into Kortes with an ice auger whether motorized or hand would be somewhat of a challenge. For the ice conditions on Kortes that is another story. It has roughly 4500 acre feet of capacity and in the winter about 500+ or - cfs entering and exiting .The water entering Kortes may not even freeze as it is coming off the bottom of Seminoe an has vertialy no time to freeze . I have lived in Wy. Casper all my life and havent ever heard of anyone fishing thru the ice at Kortes but I havnt heard every thing.
AS always GOOD FISHING

thanks for the info. I was thinking the same thing about the ice as you, but i seen it listed on the G&F special ice fishing provision on their website.

I think they list it only because it is in the drainage on the N Platte.
Great Fishing
