I am in Idaho Falls tonight. Will be meeting Ryan tomorrow morning. We are probably going to get a room near the lake. Any suggestions? What’s that place in Donnelly that Gale stays at called by the gas station? Drive safe everyone! I’ve had enough friends have trouble on the roads this year for a lifetime.

Long valley is right behind the gas station and the boulder Creek inn is right when you come into town.

Sounds good Joe we'll be on the road early Thursday morn. I think meandcuznalfy got you hooked up, thanks. It's looking like we're all going to bring wheeler's with the way things are looking for the hard deck. Nice and chilly just the way we like it. Roads should be good until the drive home.

All right it got down to -3 so far this morning, we should be over half way there by this time tomorrow  :woot: :woot: Got the new Bay runner put together last night, now i see why Skyler has enjoyed his so much. Those things are roomy for a day fishing tent. Kinda of weird sitting in it though its almost like your fishing back wards. LOL

Big perch only hit 15" today but it  was fat. Tough bite today you really had to work them. I did best with a dropper diamond chain under a hali

Matt, those Pineview perch came from the area we talked about at your house last week that you used to go to for crappie.  First flat just off the point going north.  No crappie biting there during the day.  But boy, the perch were hungry.   ;D

I hope you are still finding the jumbos today.  And ALL Y'ALL be safe coming home tomorrow.

Fun trip as always. Here are some of the jumbos...

2 pounder...

Not the biggest, but still pretty awesome..

All right I finally got some pics put together, some of these have been posted with the post image tab but I kind of like to put them directly on the page with imgur. What a great weekend we all had. The weather cooperated great until the last day about 3-4pm when the storm rolled in and forced us to retreat to the cabin. Me and sky had a heck of time getting back with all the blowing snow. If you go on this lake make sure to take a GPS as thats the only way you can find your back sometimes when you get turned around or the fog/snow sets in and it does. I'll start it off with the fish pics

Here's a couple of my catch's, biggest perch went 14in and weighed a respectable 1.80lbs

one of fishon1's

a couple of icecutter's

skunkedagain's

prospectors

Beau's

and the $$ winner hardh20's, great catches Damon. That's a size 12 trans alaskan boot by them toads on the ice

I really enjoyed the new tent, this thing is very portable and makes moving around really easy. It got me out of the sun which was brutal the 1st 3 days and then the wind on the last day before the storm rolled in.

The 1st gen rod rack worked rather well also

on the 2nd day some one decided to blaze his own trail and ended parking in a no parking zone. LOL

There was definitely no shortage of fish to fillet and some we're chucked full of eggs.

We even managed to get some double towing in with the Bay runners on the last day

and then the rest is just scenery and goofing around

Then there's all the loading t head back home  :'( man I think we have it all

What a great time everyone, thanks again for making some good memories on the hard deck, now for the next adventure??? oh wait camping at the gorge is calling my name  :woot: :woot:

Holy smokes looks like you all had a great time. The cabin looks like it worked out well? Skyler must have thought he still had the tracks on his buggy. Good thing you had lots of help to get it out! It sure takes a lot of gear and work to have fun for a weekend.. Thanks for posting up the pictures and the story!  ;D

The cabin was set up pretty nice, the only bad thing is the on the bunk beds. The upper bunk will not support anyone in our crew so that was probably good 2 people dropped out. Sky really could have used the tracks there but man as slow as you have to go with those things, it would have taken a while to get out to the fishing grounds. You know every year we be like "we need to cut back gear so its easier to pack" YA RIGHT!! that never happens and I'm ok with that. LOL
