Hey fellow ice fisherman. Does anyone know if Martins Lagoon is worth fishing, if so what do they catch there. Also I need some spikes, any place near there have spikes and minnows? Was thinking of trying it this after noon.

So I fished Martin Lagoon on Tuesday, did ok. The blue gills are on the small side, but managed to jig up some nice yellow perch n one nice crappie. I will post pics when I have the opportunity.

The perch are 9- 10, the blue gills are 8 and the crappie was 10. Went back today caught three really nice perch and two nice crappie. Took me four hours before I could put something in the bucket and that was just before dark. Still had some fun though, can't complain.

Is anyone fishing Martin's on Friday? I would like to get out for a while. Just wondering how the snow has affected the fish and ice. If anyone is heading out, I should be there around 8. It's worth a try and it beets sitting at home.

Keith,
Did you go today? I was wondering how the ice was after this weeks weather. I will send you a PM with my cell number for Presidents day weekend. Thumb looks a lot better. I did get a phone call the next day from a friend. He said it looked like I lost a pint of blood out there.
Boyd,
I hope you will be fishing that weekend. Any word on that yet?
Scott,
I know you will be there. I'm trying to build that frame for the skis before hand so I can use them.

Hey Mike. I went Friday Morning. The ice is a mess. About 6-8" of slush and water on top of 6" of still solid ice. I fished for about 3 hours with no fish, just a few hits. I got your message and will be calling you later today. I'm still trying to find a place to stay for Presidents weekend. Let me know what you find. I'll talk to you later.

Keith,
I'm looking for a place myself. I was going to hit it this morning but had to pull the toilet up.
Give me a call when you get a chance.
