Just waiting for the cold weather. Hopefully it comes sooner than later. Got my gear out over the weekend. Waiting on a new shack. Hopefully it will be here this week so I can put it together over the weekend. Put a Lazr auger on my Christmas wish list. If the wife doesn't come through the mora will work just fine for another year.

Also waiting.  Other than Lake Eire, and farm ponds, where do you fish?  Last year I fished Indian, Kiser, and George Rogers Clark Park Lakes.  Has anyone fished Harrison Lake in Nothern Oh?

Sometimes have some luck on the Findlay reservoirs and Fostoria #4 and #6 reservoirs. Fostoria #5 has a pretty good supply of Saugeye. I hear North Balitimore reservoir has a good supply of perch. Might try that one this year.

OldRoller                                                                                                                       As John-Boy said keep the memories,Reason i say this is after a nasty motorcycle accident i had 8 months ago. Most my memories are gone.Coma and 3weeks in trama unit, i feel like i lost almost all my buddies cause the memmories are gone, cant remember trips to kentucky, alabama, tennessee, ohio, penn and many many more.Only thing that saves me are the pictures of me and them while we were there and now i look at them and say  "looks like we were havin a good time, and ," Damn i`ve caught alot of big fish" .. I WISH I STILL HAD MEMORIES....
Very sorry to hear about your sad time of losing a buddy.Just think about this with those memories your bud will always be your bud and always be there with ya.If anything be happy you were able to have those times and celabrate the wonderful memories of them.  :angel

If any of you are near the Reynoldsburg Gander mntn. there is an ice fishing meeting there Dec 13th at 7 pm. Just a bunch of ice fishermen getting together to trade secrets and stuff.

Thanks for the info ref. the 13th.  Have they done this before?  That Gander isn't very large.  How many do they have room for?  How is their ice selection?

I've got ice on my pond, but we've got a long way to go (and it's going to hit 50 on Sunday). Lets hope this season will give us ice like this past February. I'm ready!

Lets hope the Sunday forecast that you heard is wrong. In the Fremont/Fostoria area, the NOAA just said upper 30's.

I need to put new runners on my Fishtrap but other than that I am ready to go.  I have deer on the grpound but no bucks yet.  I have some ice left on the pond from last week, 1-2 more cold nights I could have fished it, so close.

I hate to be a wet blanket...When I look at the global weather patterns and forecasts I don't see ice-making weather for my neck of the woods for some time...However, I can pre-ice fish with my Vexilar off some docks so I'll be in tune when the time is right!  I'm putting a coat of waterproofing on the Trap and making spoons & bladebaits until then.
