Title: New scouting technique
Post by: Ronnie D on Feb 03, 2023, 05:48 AM
Da ride to Houghton & Cadillac is getting old , so i got out a map & threw a dart.
Wound up at at hardwater in N. Clare county w/ 5" ice & thick weedbeds.
Had to pull da tipups by 10:00 due to. nuisance bass & handles (9 total), so i could get some spearing time in.
Had a couple around 22" in da crosshairs but I've got plenty of those already pickled.
Winds were brutal & pushed me off da ice by 2:00. & went home w/ dry tines

Kinda along the lines of "throwing the dart". A couple of the lakes I fish are private. Got access by banging on doors and using the phone. Sometimes it works...sometimes it don't. But the answer is always no if you don't ask. It's why I don't get upset when guys "blow up" a spot or lake. There are plenty of ways around that. Just gotta put in some work. ;)

Thanks for the vine Doe. I can't pm back for some reason but I'll be making that ride next season. If it's worth a return trip, i 've always got an extra stabbin/cabin & tines for a day to return da favor if ya wanna see how us lazy 1% like to roll.
