Title: Gull Lake report - 24th of Dec
Post by: SNAPFisher on Jan 03, 2023, 09:51 AM
Great day! :)
Huge drift blocking the entrance at Wilsons by the way.  Might be gone by  now though.

Finally got out with half decent weather.  Within minutes I had my first whitefish on the ice.  Didn't even give it a chance to fight.  I was sight fishing using a small spoon.  Been a longtime since I've had the visual experience on Gull and it did not disappoint.  Had a small pike bite off my hook  next..... so annoying.  Lots of activity and aggressive whites.  Only moved once and found a ton of small minnows swimming around.  Fishing was awesome all day until I left and it was still good then.  Minnows would come through followed by whites or pike.

Managed to add another white and landed some pike.

Ice was a over 2 feet consistently so didn't bother measuring.

Nice to have a good one at Gull.
