Brand new to ice fishing
« on: Jan 18, 2021, 05:42 PM »
My son and I just started ice fishing.  Don't really know what we are doing so have been watching videos and readin forums.  We picked up an insulated tent, Mr. Heater, some ice rods, ice scoop and an manual auger.  Also using a Garmin Striker 4 in flasher mode that is usually hooked to our kayaks in summer.  Went out this last weekend and caught four pike so a good start I guess, but so mmuch to learn.  Here is a vid of our first trip out:

Nice, time on the ice will teach you the most.  Being safe is your biggest concern.
