If you look up "tip up alarm" on ebay you can find some cheap ones with free shipping that some guy makes homemade.

Yes, I want the Frabill units. Picky bugger... ;D  Every website I have seen list them is out of stock. Hoping if anyone has some or knows of some, they might be so kind as to let me know. Thanks for your help!

I have searched every where I could and hit the big 0. If you have any luck with either the Frabill or if you come up with something different, please let us know.

What a flag and maybe a flashing light are not good enough? No you want everyone else to know you have a bite. The thing is we will all know now when you miss them. Sirens are just more noise pollution.  ;)

I think that people need to contact frabill requesting the sirens. If enough people ask about them they might bring them back.
BRING THEM BACK!

Alright guys,  I also have been searching nonstop for these things.  Can't find them anywhere.  I have 3 of them but 2 of them stopped making noise.  They went swimming on a warm day of fishing.  I made a few phone calls to Frabill who got me 8n touch with Plano (Frabill is a subsidiary of Plano Molding).  Just got off the phone ordering 3 of them for about $50 every thing included..  They are $12.99 each + tax and shipping.  They ship via UPS 1 day delivery.  Phone number is 800-558-1005.  I highly recommend these as they are the brightest, loudest, easiest to set up tip up alarm I've encountered (and I've tried many).
You're welcome!

Spoke too soon.  Got the box ups today.  3 dawg bone tipups which have the same model number 1678.  Lady on the phone couldn't tell me anything about the sirens.  Waiting on a call back from the product manager to find out some more info

Kind of funny but rather unfortunate for you. I bet your face was pretty funny when UPS dropped off the package and it was long and skinny and shaped like tipups but you just brushed it off as strange packaging and were still excited to get your alarms, then you open the box and see 3 junk tip-ups.

My sentimates exactly lol!!  On the plus side, they are working with me on shipping back and getting refunded.  Not to make a stop at radio shack and see about some reverse engineering and cost to build them from scratch.   I know I've tried many different ideas.  These sirens were the best by far!!  Still trying to find out why they were discontinued. ...stay tuned....
