Same for us...  We havent been to Brushy for a week or so now, but the bite was good early and late as you would expect.  Size has been way off for us this year.  In fact, if it werent for the chance at big fish, I probably wouldnt fish Brushy this winter.  More 6 inch perch, gills, and crappies than Ive ever seen.  And a big population of walleyes from 12 inches smaller.

Just my opinion too, some will differ.  But this is the first year we have fished Brushy and had so much trouble catching anything that was of 'keeper' size.

Any new info on brushy????? Or Briggs woods?

I was on a bus and just happened to be sitting on a news paper. This guy came up and asked. "Are you reading that ?"
I said  yes, stood up, turned the page and sat back down.

I am thinking of coming up to brushy from cedar falls on sunday morning and try to do an all day deal. I will finally have a power auger, vex and 2 camera's so i am pumped just not liking the reports of SLOOOW SLOOOW SLOOW.  Is it gonna be worth the trip to try to catch some crappie/walleye??? about a 1 1/2 hour drive

There where trucks all over Tuesday. Only place we didnt see any was up close to the Dam.  Alot of snow in some spots though.

Is it pretty much packed down from driving on or are there paths in spots?  Thanks.

We used the west boat ramp and it was a pretty good trail of packed snow.  Didnt look like a plow had touched it. The trail went around the handicapped pier and jettys and then North.  The "trail" going south toward the beach was not as packed and took a lil more throttle on the quad to get through it. ;D But that Tuesday...who knows now. LOL
