Checked out fort des moines this weekend ice was roughly 7".
Caught some good sized gills the pond seems like its going a good direction.
Only if it had more crappies..

I'm curious to see what happens as well since they put all the fish they could catch out of Easter into it. My dad caught a 9# walleye out of Easter back in '97, they were in there.

I didn't know they put the fish from easter in there.
I'd be in shock if i caught a walleye out of the fort yet very excited.

Anybody been there recently, curious on how thick is the ice?

Was out there yesterday afternoon- couple feet from shore real thin but then good, middle had 10 inches. Bite was ok till I put a hook stuck under my fingernail , trip to doctor and got it out!
