Formal intro
« on: Jan 23, 2020, 06:59 AM »
Joined shanty 2 winter's ago never heard of it untill I was talking to jiggin one day. Thanks jiggin.  Sorry I definitely started as a troll.  I'm 34 love to hunt and fish much needed things to fight the voices in my head.  Full time carpenter and wannabe farmer.  Don't get to fish much in summer due to the 500 meat birds 15 pigs 50 turkeys and 1 1\2 acres of veggies we do annually so ice fishing it is.  Got a wonderful woman to keep me in check and getting hitched this summer at lake Tarleton. The other to girls in my life are a pitbull cross and Shepard Bernese mix they don't talk back like other one. Native to Lyme nh  and got a camp on Tarleton thank great grampy for building that in 49.  I have a chubby for jigging Lakers and a new found love for cusk never had eaten one till last year. Cheers to a good winter on ice to the shanty family

Welcome aboard. I'm a pastured poultry guy too! Best chicken in the world and relatively easy to do! I'm in Etna and fished Tarleton quite a few times... Got my first NH laker there. One day up there I watched the reel on a heritage laker tip up get spooled and it was fully loaded with braided ice fishing line torn right off of it... like nothing... there are some corkers in there, big fart smuckers. There are all sorts of stories about fish like that in there... Otherwise its a slow fishing lake.

500 is a passle of chickens... Do them in batches?

There are some pigs in there  just reel slow .  Yes we do batches of 40 red rangers start 1st week may and get a batch every week for thirteen weeks.
