Thanks you for the reply. Me and my dad use to ice fish Nuangola all the time back in the day,70',80. If we get some good ice , i might have to check it out. Been quit awhile since i fished it. Stiff lines my friend.

I like Postupaks in Hazleton. It’s a auto garage with a small ice fishing tackle shop in the front. Always has great live bait.

Mitcher, although I can't help you locate any bait shops specifically in Luzerne County, I can help you with an easy trick to finding bait in just about any area - even if it doesn't have any bait shops.  Most pet stores will carry a surprising amount of bait options and are a good option after most bait stores are closed. Many pet stores carry garden worms, wax worms, mealworms, crickets and sometimes even rosy red minnows.  They sell them as food for reptiles and fish and larger stores will often have good quantities and large varieties since pet owners probably buy as many or even more of these items throughout the year than do fishermen.  I've bought bait in the large national chain pet stores and smaller, local shops as well with good results.  Pet stores are usually open later at night as well which is also helpful.

If you are buying minnows or other baitfish, be mindful of state regulations.  Rosy reds are permitted in most states but goldfish and other types of minnows are usually prohibited.

I hope this is helpful!
