Ice around Poconos today..... Jig-A-Whopper was seen on the ice with his trusty spud-bar.......

He was with the president of MPGW industries inc.

Hey Guys.  I’m new to the site.  I’m from Allentown and usually fish Promised Land, Mauch Chunk, Beltzville, Tobyhanna, etc. was thinking of taking a ride up to Promised Land since that usually freezes first.  Haven’t heard of anybody actually doing any fishing yet in the Poconos.  Anybody hear people getting out yet?  I’m jonesing bad.

Didn't have a chance to stop and measure but Lake Rowena was totally capped over with a very smooth looking layer of ice. Last Thursday it was ninety percent open water. Can't imagine it can be too thick. Be patient. Hopefully Mon/Tues's weather won't be too damaging.   Lou

2 of us fished Promised Land Upper Lake. Found 4” of solid ice.

Had to be careful where we walked, Ice was extremely variable-not very uniform.

Not looking good for this week- high temps and rain next couple days.

Tobyhanna may be the only option next weekend- was 3” of ice in cove by launch there last Tuesday night when I checked.

That was the FEW Dam in the pic, you're correct.

I'll be scouting later in the week, may have some pics to post. Tobyhanna looked pretty solid a few days ago.
