gonna rain and be generally crappy for the next few days around here. I guess my guess wasn't a good guess..... :'(

Hoping to be on ice before Christmas cuz I got off work until after the new year. Geez, all this rain is probably my fault for burning some vaca...

I have a 10ish day stretch off from Jan. 7-16, I'll be on ice somewhere.

Looks like the ice machine will be turned on this week in NEPA. Possible the lakes in the high elevation will be safe by the 20th or sooner. Be safe.

Boy here in the center part of the state it doesn't look good.  A few cold days this week, but then I'm seeing 40's again for a week or two.  I'm starting to fear it's going to be 2020 before we can get on the ice here.
My Setup:  Otter XL sled on a smitty.  10" Strikemaster Lithium 50 Volt auger.  Clam Bigfoot XL 2000 hub.  Garmin Striker 5 Ice Bundle.

I can guess the lake by the color of the fish. Good to see you got out and 4” today could by 6” by Saturday with the temps dropping over the next few days. Let’s hope it holds for a while and stays cold.

Yep. The winds tomorrow will help blow the snow we got today off the ice. Here’s another clue:  ;)

The wind was clearing some of the snow but it was also keeping a large area of open water from capping over. Use your Spud and don't take chances. Drowning in 33 degree water just doesn't sound like fun to me.
