Greetings ladies, gentlemen and everything in between
It is that time of year again. A time of harvest, hunting and "The Gathering". All are welcome, those who have attended in the past need little encouragement. An opportunity of fellowship with others who have frozen more than a few braincells. A chance to put a face to those usernames you have conversed with. Please list what you are going to bring in your response so that we do not end up with ten bowls of potato salad.
I will bring a generator, but we could use a second one. I will also bring macaroni salad.
When: Sunday, December 15th, Noon
Where: Moraine State Park, McDannels Landing

Hey Parks Guy... cajun tony here I enjoyed last year's (gathering) i don't know what my work schedule will just yet but I'm in if not workin I'll figure out what ta bring closer to it...can't wait

Hello gentlemen. I have always wanted to try fishing that lake. It just that it's a bit of a drive, from Newport, plus it looks like pretty big water to figure out in a weekend !
To you guys usually have ice for the gathering ? Sounds like fun @)

There could be fishable ice on the middle creek section, it’s a big “could be” depending on Mother Nature.. my guess “no”

It's that time of year again . My schedule says I'm working , but I wouldn't miss it . Lots of great food ! Had a great time last year hearing you guys bust on each other . I'll just pull up a Sick Day .. I also have a generator and extension cords if needed . Yes , I figured out how to run the torpedo heater if we need it . LOL ! See ya guys there .

According to the IRS agent from India, I have 23 warrants for my arrest in 12 states if I don’t pay my fine in Walmart gift cards. Slider better up his game

What do you think about moving to the other pavilion at McDannels Landing? It has a wall that should block some of the wind. I just need to call the office and let them know.

Sounds good to me . Anything to block wind helps . We can also put the generators on the other side of the wall .

Just to throw a hint out , if this pavilion has a fireplace as was mentioned , someone would be the HERO of the Gathering if they brought wood or charcoal whichever is used in the fireplace . Just sayin.

It was great to see the few that showed up today ! If the wind hadn't been so cold , I'm sure we could have held out longer . Best of luck to you this season guys and hopefully we'll see each other out on the ice .
