Was on both Sun. 3.5 on 3 mile down by the dam. Caught 30 crappies, all about 7 inches. Twelve mile had 3 inches, drilled ten holes marked no fish. I was down by the dam there also. All was good clear ice on both, but i didn't check the upper ends of either.

Checked 12 mile last night (Wednesday)  Found 5/12 to 7" everywhere I went.  I was mostly on the east/west road bed starting from the east boat ramp working my way to the west.   Good clear ice.   Didn't stay long.  Only marked a couple of fish but no takers.

Heading down early next week, hopefully it will have picked up.  One report from down there was pretty slow.

Haven't made it there yet. Would appreciate a report though as I am off for 9 days early in January and my Spirit Lake trip was ruined by excess ATV repair costs. I'll be looking for some good fishing close to home.

Fished 12 Mile Saturday afternoon until about 7:00 pm.  Several gills but that was it, no walleyes.  Was in 22 fow around the middle east/west road bed.  Ice was at least 8" good with couple inches of white stuff.  Plenty of snow to drag through to get out there.

Yeah atvs were on the lake, we did well on 12 Mile with the gills and got some crappies too.  3 Mile we caught some gills and crappies too but the size wasn't all that great.
We fished in 30' of water on 12 Mile and got a lot of gills couple of walleyes but they were about 15".  Crappies came through suspended, didn't catch a ton but they were probably 10-11" healthy fish.  Gills were healthy too.

Care to give any hints of depth or location?  I've yet to catch a walleye down there on ice.

Care to give any hints of depth or location?  I've yet to catch a walleye down there on ice.

I would fish the creek channel and near any of the rock piles, also every walleye we caught was at dusk or dawn.  I would find 25-30' of water.  Road beds to would be good place to try.
