Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.

I know your feelings, closest nice size lake for me is at least an hour drive. Ponds get old fast, and It's just nice to know a guy's got a chance at the waldos.

Glad you are getting those yellows. My first trip up there was a bust. Sucks making the trip and having those dang fish go tight lipped!

We always fish the north end, so we park by the pump house. Were is there to park if you want to fish Farmers, but don't want to drive on the ice?

There is a small parking lot right there at farmers, or you can park on the road.

4:30 to 5:30 non stop yellows and all nice fish.  Fished form 1:00 to 7:15 and other than that one hour only caught three yellows.  No walleyes, where are they?

My son drove out yesterday on Farmers with his 4x4 truck. He said you have to gun it to get through.

from my experience on this site people get real quiet when the fishing is good.   not sure if thats the case here maybe their web service is down.  or the road to the fishing hole neeeds plowed again.

I havent been out due to the snow......Betcha its bad out there......Not like theres any eyes left in that lake to catch anyways.  They got hit hard and its gonna be a few years before we see good fishing for them again. :-[

Crappiebuster.......yo u been back in the Little lake at all and tried for eyes there? I have a feeling that is where they are hiding in the new dredged area. I think the next time I go I'm gonna check that area good. ;)

From 3pm to 8pm caught 19 yellows and three walleyes.  Split and a hook with a small minnow. Caught the majority of the fish at dusk.  Walleyes were small and next time I fish there it will be in the little lake.

I was out from 4:00 to 6:00 tonight and caught 5 yellows. Lots of people out this evening. The road out to Farmers is plowed and people were driving their cars out so access is easy now if you want to go out.  24" of ice.

not that i want to discourage anyone from coming.    :(     maybe some one from the dnr will catch on and increase the amount of stocked wallys due to the increase in fishing pressure.   we used to throw back alot of the eyes that we now consider ourselves lucky to get.

as an out of towner thats comes up every now and again i make it a personal effort to keep only one eye every trip if im lucky enough to get one.  2 lbs max anything else goes back.  now when it comes to yellows i keep what i catch and when i fish perch on surrounding waters i only keep them over 10 inches.
early to bed early to rise fish like h.e.l.l. and think up lies.
