To catch the higher # of yellows you need to drill 20 to 40 holes. If you do not see fish in 2 or 3 minutes move on, constantly hole jumping. The fish are roaming not staying for more than 5 minutes. After jumping around you can narrow down the hot holes and focus on 2 or 3. Key is to run and gun with spoons and minnow heads. hope this ups your fish #s.

Can you get around the lake fairly easy with an atv or 4x4 truck?

If you want the exact GPS cord.. Find the wind surfer that skied over and saw my fish on the ice( my mistake all going in a bucket from now on). He pulled out a handheld and marked it >:( >:( >:(. I don't mind helping people out a little, but it is fishing you need to go out and do some looking.

I am on the big lake, fishing all by myself......... well I was :'( :'( :'(

The youngsters or the first time ice anglers always manage to outfish even the most seasoned of anglers.

Does anyone know if the DNR is going to extend the date so we can keep our houses out longer, Feburary 20th seems like it may be a bit early this year!

We need to get something going where we can petition the dnr into spilitting the removal date into 2 zones like minnsota.  Feb 20th below highway 20 or 30  and maybe March 1st or 7th above.  Most every year it gets like this.  More than enough ice and not enough "legal" time.

I agree 100% I'll put my name on the list for sure!  Unless something big happens in a hurry that will be good ice for quite some time!

???Well IAEYE, which "Local" Bait shop would you be talking about?

Would like to make sure I go to the right place to buy the bait I would use to drive out on that road.

Thanks

Thanks Blue

Kind of what I thought but wasn't sure because there are a couple of other bait providers.

I wiil make sure I stop in & buy some bait & ask where to head to so I can get on the ice.
