I fished it Sunday night in Willow Creek bay and the ice was fine - a solid 12 inches. The ice near shore had hardened up as well.

I'm gonna try night fishing for some walleye.  Hope the ice holds up. Anyone have luck up there at night?  I usually avoid cooney but I'm layed off and need to save gas money.  So gonna fish close

2 weeks ago my son and I caught 3 ling from 5-7 PM.  Missed a few others.  Try fresh frozen minnows for ling in 20-25 fow.  No luck with the walleye as of yet.  Good fishin' - OH

Just got back from a morning fishing trip and the south side by Red Lodge campground has great ice 14 inches or better.  The fishing was slow but was able to put a 2+ pound bow on the ice  :)

Glad to hear the ice is good. I got started on some chores and figured out that the wind wasn't blowing. I should have gone but at least I got some work done. Might head up on the am.

I fished from 2:30 to 5:00pm. I hit a 14 inch trout right off the bat and then it was dead until about 4:00 and then I hit a 17 inch ling. I then had quite a few bites until 5 but just couldn't hook em. I was in 16 foot of water and was jiggin with minnow heads. 11 inches of ice.

Fished Cooney today off of the Red Lodge Creek boat ramp in 12 to 15 feet of water.  Water was a little off color and there was water from the snow that was there last weekend being melted this weekend.  Left the lake after 4 hours of fishing and only two or three of the slightest of bites and no fish.  The wind made it tough to walk off the lake as we forgot to take the ice cleats.  One of these days we will manage to catch something out of this lake through the ice.  In 6 yrs of ice fishing it only have one walleye, one ling and three trout to show for the effort.  Had a good time with the father-in-law and my son so it was worth the trip.

How was the ice holding up?  Are the edges getting thin?

Fished it til 8 tonight. The edges were looking pretty sketchy - about an inch or so of water on top of the ice by the shore.

I would imagine that with this week of potentially 60 degree temps the edge ice will be really if as it already seemed "slushy" when we walked on at 7:45 am on Sunday.  I would imagine that if we don't see some cold weather again soon we could be looking at some terrible ice conditions.
