My buddy caught this 40" tiger muskie while jigging for perch. He was using a small kastmaster tipped with a mousie and had 6# test line. It took 15 minutes to get in, here are the last 8. We could see the whole fight through the 3-4" black ice.

One of the best videos I have ever seen....ps: I caught a 40" out of that very same lake a couple years ago but not on 6lb test through the ice....just awesome.

Great job gentlemen true ice fishing memory of a lifetime. What was the weight and length of the Tiger? Got to love that black ice adds to the excitement when you see the fish.

That's my buddy's auger

He has a gas auger but for thin ice he likes to check the ice and make his holes with an axe.

It was released after a few quick pics. Sorry about the F-bombs. I cut the first 5 minutes of video out and my buddy was pretty excited when he figured out it was a big ski and not a bass.

Nice fish, cool video HORRIBLE fish handling!!!!!! Try a horizontal hold, much easier an a large fish if you are going to release it
