took  ride around this am
port bay I could see snow covered ice

looking from
 west port bay road
look like ice cover up to
about Tompkins point
 rest bay  open water

Sodus bay
drove east side on  lake bluff road East side  there
was gray looking ice with no snow on this ice covering both sides
from the bridge, to the north
maybe hundred yards north pass  grassy point
ice was out in front of spiegal drive  also    open water after that
-- keep it up will get after 1st year ?

wouldn't be too worried about the snow. with the wind the way it was....should have blown most of it off...grassy point "should" be alright by this weekend...but would shy away from the north launch untill you see someone else out there.

Thanks for the info. I'll get ahold of the bait shop later in the week and monitor on here. May try to make a day trip up this weekend

You would think, but compound 4 ft of snow and all you get is slush ice like we have in Chautauqua lake!

If the snow permits looks like the bay will have some fishermen on it this weekend...Just a reminder folks.. SPUD..SPUD...SPUD! and STAY AWAY FROM THE DOCKS DUE TO THE BLUBBERS. Will probably be joining Friday hope to get out on Third creek if ice and snow permit. Would be nice to hear a snow report hoping it blows off as fast as it snows. Stay Safe and use your head.

 Yo John,

Glad you have already locked into the hot bite area bud. I will come over to help you cull them perch out and only leave the small ones for the rest of the guys eh?  Check your PM bud.
